I get 25 (plus bank hols) days, and tbh I don't think I could take a job with much less than that.

The statutory minimum (28 including bank hols), seems to stingy, yet a lot of jobs seem to offer this. Even when i worked in a supermarket I got more than that.

I get 40 days! Ive been with my company 16 years. After 5, 10 and 15 years you get extra days allowance and i can also buy up to a weeks worth. I dont get any bank holidays off so they're included.

EmmaC78 · 17/02/2019 20:32

I am the same, 25 plus public holidays. I am lucky though in that my work is fairly flexible so I can work from home when I want so I don't waste annual leave if I need to wait at home for a day for builders etc.

PinkiOcelot · 17/02/2019 20:34

I get 33 days plus BH.

NCjustforthisthread · 17/02/2019 20:34

I get about 35 plus whatever I carry over. Last year was tough as we were so busy so I have loads to carry over - I have about 50-odd days to take this year. So far - I’ve taken 1/2 a day 😂

ghostyslovesheets · 17/02/2019 20:35

33 days (Pro rata) and I buy 2 weeks extra leave as well

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/02/2019 20:36

27 plus bank holidays. Would love more, even the opportunity to take unpaid leave but we’re not allowed.

MirandaWest · 17/02/2019 20:36

I started with 25 days plus bank holidays. Goes up by a day each year to maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays I think. I also have to do an amount of out of hours work for which I get TOIL so get a reasonable amount of time off when I prefer to take it

DH gets 20 days plus bank holidays but inevitably ends up selling some back.

jelliebelly · 17/02/2019 20:36

28 plus bank hols plus another 5 days if you want to buy them

Serenity45 · 17/02/2019 20:37

27 days plus bank holidays. Started at 25 days when I began the job 2 years ago and I get an extra day added each year for the first 5 years. Happy with this especially as I work for a charity.

We also get Christmas Eve off as an 'extra' day on top (or the Friday before if it falls on a weekend).

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 17/02/2019 20:37

31 plus bank holidays, but I usually sell 10 days or so a year and get by on TOIL.

PinkGin24 · 17/02/2019 20:38

25 + BHs + option to buy upto 10 more.

I would go anywere with less than 25 + BHs + option to buy ateast 5 more.

thumpingrug · 17/02/2019 20:38

25 days + the 8 bank holidays + 3 days between Christmas and new year. 36 in total. Previous job gave an extra 5 days after 5 years taking to to 41, but current job doesn't.

user1494050295 · 17/02/2019 20:38

42 days. 25 annual leave bank holidays and 8closure days.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 17/02/2019 20:39

33 days incl BHs and that's at 0.8 FTE. Also buy 2 more a year if needs be.

FrancesFryer · 17/02/2019 20:39

I get 6 weeks but I don't get bank holidays, so they're included in that

ooooohbetty · 17/02/2019 20:39

28 plus bank hols and flexible. I'm very grateful for so much. My other half gets 20, works v long hours with no flexible working or overtime.

ShinyMe · 17/02/2019 20:40

I don't get any now - I work term time only so I'm paid for 36 weeks a year, and have holiday pay added in, and then am not paid for the 16 weeks I don't work. I don't have any days I can request off as annual leave. I work in FE.

In my old role in the same place, I had 35 including bank holidays, I think. It was 20something and then you get more added after you've been there 6 years.

BringOnTheScience · 17/02/2019 20:40

Term-time only contract of 39 weeks, so I get 13 weeks holiday ... but my salary is pro-rated accordingly.

Bananasarenottheonlyfruit · 17/02/2019 20:40

25 + BH and option to buy another 5 , with another day every 5 years so am on 27 now. Except that I can't afford the salary hit to buy the extra days.

TokyoSushi · 17/02/2019 20:40

30 + BH and very flexible when you can take them, very lucky!

Sciurus83 · 17/02/2019 20:41

33 days +BH and can roll 10 days over to the next year

MagentaRocks · 17/02/2019 20:41

30 days o,us bank holidays. Plus I get toil for attending meeting or whatever on days off or as a reward. I work 6 days on 4 off so for about 51 hours leave I get two weeks away from work which is great.

JustLurkingAway · 17/02/2019 20:41

14 floating + 14 fixed (BHs etc). Frustrating as it's 1 day off 3 full weeks!

Sooperdooper19 · 17/02/2019 20:42

31 days a per year after being in local govt 15+ years plus 1 day a month flexi if you’ve accrued the hours... which I always do and more!

ATBhinchers · 17/02/2019 20:42

26 days plus BH
