I get 25 (plus bank hols) days, and tbh I don't think I could take a job with much less than that.

The statutory minimum (28 including bank hols), seems to stingy, yet a lot of jobs seem to offer this. Even when i worked in a supermarket I got more than that.

Ahh . Cross posted. Now I understand.

isseywithcats · 17/02/2019 21:12

we get five minutes for each hour worked as we are paid hourly and over the year it works out at 28 days no extra for bank holidays as its leisure industry so we have to work them and no extra pay either we do get christmas day off as shut but no pay for it so if its not on a sunday whaich is one of my days off i get four days pay the next week

Aceinthehole · 17/02/2019 21:13

I get 50 days including bank holidays but on a 48 week contract so technically don't get paid for 4 of those weeks.

meow1989 · 17/02/2019 21:13

Full time it would be 28 plus 8 public holidays (increasing to 33 days and 8 public holidays next year). I'm going back to work after mat leave on 24 hours so thinking that'll be 23.5 days including bank holidays

tilder · 17/02/2019 21:15

I though my annual leave entitlement was ok until I read this thread!

My fte is 32 days including bank holidays. So I do well in years when Christmas and New year fall on non work days. Not so well when they don't.

Lochnessgiraffe · 17/02/2019 21:15

I get 30 and bank Holidays. As 30 is 5 weeks is pretty good. I took 4 days over the Xmas period and had 2 weeks off. I also can wfh and get 6months paid and 6months half pay if long term sickness. So no problems. I started in September and had 10 days I needed to use by December and I struggled. Too busy at work but the only thing is I couldn't carry them over. Next year I will be able to carry over 5days and /or buy 5days.

Gbarmy · 17/02/2019 21:16

33 + bank holidays, pro rata since I went part time. I can also buy it sell 5 days per year.

Parky04 · 17/02/2019 21:18

25 plus bank holidays and 12 flex days. Can't complain!

Kahlua4me · 17/02/2019 21:19

Work for myself so up to me!

Tisfortired · 17/02/2019 21:23

I get 27 days (28 next year after I've been there 5 years) plus my birthday off and bank holidays - is that 36 total? Not too bad.

Crinkle77 · 17/02/2019 21:24

I get 25 plus bank holidays (it starts off at 22 but you get 3 days extra after 5 years). However I work in a uni and we get extra discretionary days at Christmas and Easter

Justgivemesomepeace · 17/02/2019 21:24

32, then i can buy up to 35. I get 4 days for bank holiday mondays as i work tues- sat. So thats 39 days and whatever other bank hols we get on top of that.

MissWimpyDimple · 17/02/2019 21:27

I'm on the stingy 20 days plus bank holidays.

It sucks. It's a new company and I think it's something they are doing very badly. Plus to add insult to injury, blank holidays are normal working days.

In fairness it's fairly flexible otherwise.

CurbsideProphet · 17/02/2019 21:27

25 days + Bank hols = 33

No option to buy or sell leave.

Westiegirl3 · 17/02/2019 21:27

I get 33 days inc bank holidays, which I thought was pretty decent until I read this thread Hmm

MissWimpyDimple · 17/02/2019 21:29

Wow so so far there are only 3 of us with the basic 28 days. That's made me feel really crappy ☹️

TroysMammy · 17/02/2019 21:32

20 days and 8 bank holidays. Although I'm part time I still work every weekday so it's 4 weeks holiday a year with the additional bank holidays.

Cremeeggsareforever · 17/02/2019 21:34

20 days plus bank holidays, and 3 additional days between xmas and new year.

MischiefManagedAlways · 17/02/2019 21:35

20 days plus the 8 bank holidays. This is the first job I've had with the minimum holiday entitlement and I am struggling to adjust. However, I love the job and I feel lucky it's the only negative I have.

Talkingfrog · 17/02/2019 21:35

When full time 27 plus bank hols to start, which increased to 32 plus bh after 5 years. Now part time so all of it, including allowance for bank hols is pro rata. The day I have off is a Monday so the only days I have to claim are good Friday, Christmas day, boxing day and new years day (if they are my normal working days). I can take the others when it suits me.

Mortgages · 17/02/2019 21:35

NHS drs training program
32 annual leave days +

15 days study leave allowance +

professional leave for interviews (to move to next stage but not exactly needed until end of training program) +

exam leave 5 days per exam stage (professional exams)

luckylavender · 17/02/2019 21:37

30 + BH

RaininSummer · 17/02/2019 21:37

Very jealous as I only get 25 Inc back holidays which doesn't leave many days to choose especially with a week needed for Christmas.

Dontknowwhatyoumean · 17/02/2019 21:37

28 + bank holidays + an additional 9 days over Christmas

RebeccaWrongDaily · 17/02/2019 21:39

I work term time only (not in a school)

I tend to do a day or so every so holiday so that I have extra's to take for myself outside of school holidays. I have a very forgiving employer.
