I get 25 (plus bank hols) days, and tbh I don't think I could take a job with much less than that.

The statutory minimum (28 including bank hols), seems to stingy, yet a lot of jobs seem to offer this. Even when i worked in a supermarket I got more than that.

31 plus 10 to carry over if you don't use it all.

Plus up to two days off a month if you get enough Flexi time.

Plus 8 days paid sick leave per 12 months no questions asked.

Xmasbaby11 · 18/02/2019 07:51

33 days plus bank hols. Also you can buy 10 days leave.

I don't have that much flexibility though because our dept has 4 teaching terms so they aren't the same as school holidays.

University.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/02/2019 08:25

25 annual, bank holidays and we close over Xmas and new yearx

Penners99 · 18/02/2019 08:47

Self employed, so as much or as little I want.

DarcyDrive · 18/02/2019 08:57

26 days + 8 P/H so 34 days in total. I get TOIL for any overtime/extra work though. Last year I accumulated an extra 3 weeks through TOIL!

BiddyPop · 18/02/2019 09:38

30 days plus BHs
I used to have flexi time so I could also work up to 1.5 days per month to take off the next month. I really miss that (taken away due to promotion).

In my job you really need s decent break in summer to recharge and some downtime throughout the year, and it goes so fast if you take full Christmas break, a few days at Easter and cover any midterms or have a few family events (weddings, funerals etc).

BiddyPop · 18/02/2019 09:38

Or have to cover a sick DC!

April241 · 18/02/2019 09:42

307.5 hours which equates to just over 8 full weeks, we use 34.5 hours for a weeks holiday

itsgood2talk · 18/02/2019 11:19

30 days plus bank hols

Shelbybear · 18/02/2019 20:10

I get 28 plus 8 bank holidays. You can buy an additional 5 or sell 5 at the end of the year. You get that in a lump sum which is quite gd.

My husband only gets 20 plus 8 bank holidays, I think that is really stingy especially seeing as his pay increases have been pathetic, least they cld do is give everyone an extra day or 2.

CostanzaG · 18/02/2019 20:17

40.5 days ( 3.5 of which must be used over Xmas) plus bank holidays. We occasionally get an extra day or two at Xmas depending on how it falls.

Lovelydovey · 18/02/2019 20:19

I work 4 days/week.

I get 4/5 of 25 days (20 days) plus an additional day in 2019 negotiated by the union (21) plus 4/5 of 8 bank holidays (6 days though I do have book all bank holidays off - but Monday is my non-working day - makes 27) plus I buy 4/5 of 13 days off also (10 making 37 in total).

37 days on 4 days/week gives me 9.25 weeks off/year - very happy!

ModreB · 18/02/2019 20:33

30 plus Bank Holidays, plus up to 2 flexi days a month, so up to 62, but a minimum of 38.

Polarbearflavour · 18/02/2019 20:34

28 days plus 8 bank holidays plus a day for the Queen’s Birthday.

Glowerglass · 18/02/2019 20:36

41 in total. I can take flexi leave as well.

strawberriesandsugar · 18/02/2019 20:38

6 weeks paid. 6 weeks unpaid (school based) no flexibility on the times

Filbert7 · 18/02/2019 20:38

15 plus 10 stat holidays. I'm in Canada and had to give an ultimatum to get my 15 days instead of 10.

Used to work in the UK so loathe how it is here (and roll my eyes when people say how left wing Canada is supposed to be!)

PerfectlyPetty · 18/02/2019 20:41

28.5 days plus bank holidays.

You can buy an extra 5 days too which i do every year.

Iseesheep · 18/02/2019 20:41

32 days with up to 4 closure days between Xmas and NY and all the bank holidays. Flexi time so I can take 2 days extra each month on top of annual leave. Love it!

Rabbitmad89 · 18/02/2019 21:45

I’ve just gone up to 28 days as I’ve been with the company 5 years and I also buy an extra 5 and get BH on top! My husband only gets about 17 days as they take BH out!

DrawingLife · 18/02/2019 21:48

On my current job 20 plus 1 bonus day over Christmas. Occasional odd day downtime, fairly useless as not plannable. It's not enough. I had to take a week unpaid last Christmas.

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 18/02/2019 21:51

If I were full time it would be 30 days plus Bank hols. I'm part time so it's pro-rata.

WindsfromtheNE · 18/02/2019 21:54

33 plus 8 BHs. And I usually buy another 10 days.

Terramirabilis · 18/02/2019 21:54

Unlimited.

RuthW · 18/02/2019 21:57

25 plus bh. Been there 28 years.
