to be slightly irked at dh being a bit miffed that I didn't cook dinner tonight?

I've just started a new job so am totally whacked trying to get to grips with new routine of dashing around dropping off/picking up children etc. so couldn't think of what to do for dinner, so I asked dh what he fancies as I was happy to cook as long as somebody told me what they want... but he was uninspired. So I had a sandwich whilst the kids tucked into battered sausage and chips from the chippy - special treat (dh normally gets himself fish but he's gone on diet...).

Afterwards he grabbed some toast and moped that that wasn't a great dinner... ffs he's a grown man and for once could make a minor executive decision and decide on what he wants to eat or am I expecting too much???

YANBU-he needs a slap!

I'd give him toast everynight until he helps you decide what to cook, or even better cooks for you once in a while now you're working.

MrsBigD · 04/07/2007 20:13

Whooosh LOL

lilolilmanchester... dh does cook occassionally ... he does the BBQ and I do the salad and as he's a kiwi there's plenty of bbq's.

i give my dh weetabix for dinner all the time. One step up from that is good old pasta and pesto. If i make a 'real' dinner I automatically feel absolved from any 'real' dinner duties for at least three days.

Whooosh · 04/07/2007 20:51

So what do you eat for dinner?

krispiecakes · 04/07/2007 21:01

the kids left overs
