To be suspicious of this doctors note?

Hi all,

HR in my company is overstretched and my concerns are not being recognised.

I have an employee who is off sick a lot and I have my suspicions he is up to no good for various reasons. I received a doctors fit note from him today that looks genuine and has signed him off for 3 weeks. However when I scan the QR code it is just a load of letters and numbers not any details of the note which I thought had to be included.

Any HR people on here that can tell me if IABU to be suspicious about this? I've seen that you can but fakes online

The QR code should contain key information from the fit note and the details should match. A simple typo in the QR code can make it unreadable though, so it's not necessarily fake.
