Anyone have abnormal heart rate? A bit rattled

Had appointment this afternoon, cardiologist said there's something a bit abnormal with heart rate from ecg, but he didn't seem worried, has just referred for a heart ultrasound and a tilt table test.

I feel a bit rattled now - apparently it could be 'normal' for me even if not for others - something about how the tissue lies on my chest?

Was referred there for dizziness and fainting, I wasn't that worried about that just thought blood pressure was really low at times - but now a little uneasy about my heart!

I had those test about a year ago, had been going through a lot of stress, had dizziness and an irregular heartbeat.

It turned out that it was an ectopic heartbeat which is not really a problem. Also had bloods done and need to take Vit D. which can make a difference. (I also considered taking magnesium, there is a thread on here about it somewhere, but it needs to be the right one not Magnesium Oxide).

I only get the odd small thump in my chest now when I am very stressed. It may be normal for you, and you were most likely told to do a blood test in a year, I was.

I suffered from dizziness and fainting, husband rang 111, they sent an ambulance and I had a pacemaker fitted the next day. No problems since. You seem to be in safe hands, no doubt your problem will get fixed, though I understand why you are uneasy. Try not to worry.

Thanks both. SpringForEver, I've had low vit D in the past, it def makes you feel rubbish, didn't know it could maybe affect heart - hope you're ok now? It's a weird feeling when you get the chest thump. I've always had it and not thought of it, are you similar?

TruckyD that sounds quite scary! Is a pacemaker an operation with a long hospital stay? Hope you're well now though.

I'm less worried about it today but irritated by the fact I'll be waiting many more months to get a clear picture.
