To not be sure how I'll get through the day .....

First cycle of IVF, it's embryo transfer day. I stupidly decided to go to work in the morning then DH will pick me up to take me to the clinic. The clinic said if I wanted the whole day off (completely justified) they'd give me a cert. Over the weekend I've turned into a complete bag of emotional nerves. I'm not sure how I'll get through the day and act normal. Work don't know I'm going through IVF ! Send help .......

Sending Thanksand hugs. Take the day off. Don't put yourself through the extra stress. Good luck I hope it works and isn't too painful xx

Wishing you all the luck in the world Flowers

Lots of luck. Take the day off and give yourself time to breathe before the appointment.

I'm currently having a cry on the bus ..... it's been 2 of my teams birthdays over the weekend and I have their gifts. Feel it would be bad form not to bring them in as agreed. X

Call work, tell them you have an appointment later in the day which is making you feel stressed and anxious. Apologise and say you can't come in.

moanymoaner · 10/02/2019 21:35

They're adults . They can wait an extra day. Take some time for you at an already highly stressful time xx

Wishing you all the good luck in the world. Our IVF baby is 9 months old, it's a crazy process but you can do this. Whether you take the day off or not will not affect the outcome, but you should do what will make you calmer. Will be thinking of you tomorrow x

Just spoke to my DH, he told me to get off the bus and turn around.
I'm going to go and get my laptop - then head off. (I think)

Glad you're going home and good luck with the transfer.

(Are you in Australia/New Zealand or do you just work very odd hours? Grin)

Thank you all, transfer all done and dusted, even went for the mystical McDonald’s chips on the way home. So glad I went home. Had a lazy day, got a little rest and now feel like I can tackle the next 2 weeks. Thank you all ! Wish me luck !!

Sending you (((((((hugs))))))) and wishing you lots of luck Flowers

whatdoyouwantfromme · 12/02/2019 07:48

Thanks for all your kind words !! I got through work today, with my boss avoiding me like the plague in case he made me cry again. Just a couple more days then I can get back into some exercise and feel a bit more like me.
One step at a time I guess !
