Are really lovely. Me and my six year old DD went to our local skate park this aft and there were a group of lads there who let her join in and showed her some new tricks. She had a great time they were so lovely and kind towards her. If I was their parent I would be proud of them.

Yep I'm with you, young lads in the pub last night, very busy but they insisted I had one of their hairs and they would stand. Could only be 18 (looked about 15, but that me getting old).

WorraLiberty · 09/02/2019 16:48

Aww that's lovely.

Not sure about your statement though, as just like any other age group you'll get good, bad and fucking awful.

They sound like nice, caring lads though.

AliyyaJann · 09/02/2019 16:52

Nope.

Had a few yoofs on the Tube yesterday smoking weed. Yes they were smoking fucking cannabis on the Tube

Not that many good ones around here but I did have a group who stopped swearing their heads off when they saw my 5 yr old was near them Star

Refreshing to read something nice about young people on here.
I am always pleasantly surprised when a young person moves so I can sit down on public transport, and find it happens much more frequently than with Middle Aged people. They also tend to be nicer to my DCs in general.
Of course there are the bad eggs too, but I seem to come into contact with more good eggs. I hope my DCs become kind, considerate, well mannered teens/ young adults. I think young people are often viewed negatively, with "entitled" and "snowflakes" being spouted about them all the time.

Yes there are nice and not so nice people in every age group, but it was nice to see such lovely ones today.

The other day two teenage boys helped me when I dropped library books everywhere whilst coralling my little girl. Faith in kids restored.

Youlnowme do you often get offered hairs?!

OggyOggy · 09/02/2019 19:54

Heartwarming post, OP.

Near where I live, the youth congregate to throw glass bottles at buses.
