One of us thinks when replacing a big piece of furniture /appliancewith another, you should clean the area, Hoover, wipe the skirting board etc where the old thing has been before replacing it with the new one.

The other one thinks....just leave it, no one can see the dust and dirt/crap that's been underneath it.

What do you think?

Definitely clean the area before replacing!

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 09/02/2019 13:25

Def clean it! Why wouldn't you if it's usually inaccessible!

Iloveacurry · 09/02/2019 13:27

Definitely clean.

Huntawaymama · 09/02/2019 13:28

Bigonesmallone3 · 09/02/2019 13:30

Of course clean it.

daisypond · 09/02/2019 13:36

Clean it. It's a rare opportunity to get to somewhere inaccessible.

UnicornsAndLizards · 09/02/2019 13:39

Clean it for sure

Tinty · 09/02/2019 13:40

It's DH that doesn't want to clean it isn't it? Grin

Definitely clean area first.

GummyGoddess · 09/02/2019 13:40

It won't take long, and would be very satisfying if it's really dusty.

Topseyt · 09/02/2019 13:41

I clean the area. It is normally inaccessible, so best to do it while you can. It only takes a few minutes.

I guess you are talking about areas such as behind heavy furniture, behind the washing machine, the fridge freezer etc.

froggy3 · 09/02/2019 13:41

Argument settled! New wardrobe and dh starts pushingit into place.....I'm like 'woah what the hell are you doing, I need to go get hetty'
