To be depressed about my weight

I'm massive.

I'm taking action and if I can stick to it (if, ha ha) should be looking OK by May-ish - but still, for now, I'm massive and it depresses me.

Good that you are taking action. What's your plan?

PandaMa · 08/02/2019 18:31

Feel your pain OP! Just stick to the plan and May will be here before you know it. Just avoid the seasonal aisle at Tescos over Easter and you will be fine!

slashlover · 08/02/2019 18:57

I was weighed by the nurse yesterday and got a massive shock, I knew I was big but I've gained about 3 stones in a year through crap eating. I worked out my BMI to be 37, so started today.

Intohellbutstayingstrong · 08/02/2019 19:01

Yep..... I'm the same. On day five of the Fast 800 but right now I am having a massive craving for crap and feeling really irritable. Im not going to cave because that's what I always do. Sick of having so many clothes I cant get into and loathing myself so much I cant even look at myself in the mirror.

It's depressing being big - but I'm visualising the warmer weather when I will be smaller. Healthy eating, small portions, lots of walking is my plan. I will be starting a new job in 3 weeks. I'm currently office-based, sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours a day - my new job is going to be more active, plus I will be walking to and from work each day (a mile in each direction) so I can do it. I don't want to be super skinny, just not as heifer-like.

macmacaroon · 08/02/2019 19:36

Same boat. Spend loads on new clothes as nothing suits me now I'm big. Thighs are disgusting. Good for you having a plan. I can't stick to one so just accepting the status quo for now and hoping I don't gain more.

LagunaBubbles · 08/02/2019 19:41

I bet you're not "massive" at all.

Didntwanttochangemyname · 08/02/2019 20:20

I'm 1 month in to a new way of eating, and therfore it's been 1 month since I quit binging. At times I feel like I've lost a friend, I binged when I was lonely, and it's hard but having the comfort of food, but then I look at my weight tracking app and the steady drop in my weight and that keeps me going.

Good luck, if you believe you can do it, you can.

macmacaroon · 08/02/2019 20:31

@Didntwanttochangemyname which app r u using? X

HalfBearOtherHalfCat · 08/02/2019 20:34

If you think you'll look OK by May then you are definitely not massive!

Best of luck with getting to a weight where you feel good though.

Whatififall · 08/02/2019 20:36

Same. I’m sat in my pjs sad that I can’t buy “nice” clothes...but I’ve just ate half a bar of dairy milk. I’m my own worst enemy.

Didntwanttochangemyname · 08/02/2019 20:36

@macmacaroon I'm just logging my weight in my fitbit app every day. It gives me an average weight for the week and has a lovely graph that is going down steadily!
