To not want to spend wages

Just that really...anyone else get paid and love looking at their balance so much that they don’t want to spend it 😂😭😭 I think I’m going to try a no spend month...I’ll pay necessary bills obvs!! Anyone have any tips??!!

@ATBhinchers yesihave a 5yr old and a 3yr old so it will be tough but I’ll be at work mon-fri, I already take lunch into school.im gonna do some serious meal planning!!

@NeverTwerkNaked that would probably be the worst for me because I would be too ill to cook for the DC so I would end up eating out 😂😭

Every time you get tempted by something, go online, add to basket and then wait a day. I always change my mind after 24hrs!

Why though? What's the point of having it if you never spend it?
It's like buying lots of chocolate and never eating it. Defeats the object.

When I earnt good wages I was like Viv Nicholls Grin and then some!
I do wonder if growing up poor played some part in this but thankfully at the ripe old age of 46 I'm managing to save and hope that when I do return to well paid work I'll be able to be more sensible.

And when you can afford the bigger things do you buy them, or will you keep on waiting and saving?
Obviously it's good to have some reserves but I've never understood the allure if saving for savings sake. My mother scrimped her whole life and died without spending anything. I always thought it a shame

@hazell42 yes of course otherwise I would have no car or home etc. I also have two DC so obvs I need to spend on them 🤷‍♀️
