to be worried about getting a job

so, I went for an interview last week, and I didnt get the job. I'm worrying now. Thing is I'm living in Ireland and trying to get a job in the UK. Cost me a fortune to go over last wek as the interview was on friday afternoon and I couldnt get a flight back that evening, so had to stay the night. I'm not sure why I didnt get the job. On paper I have all the qualifications so it must have been my interview. I have another interview set up for Feb 25th. I just emailed them and asked could I skype with them and then they could say if they wanted to meet me in person & I'd come for the interivew, but they said no, I just had to come for the interview. I'm just scared about how many interviews I will have to do to get a job cos it's expensive getting over and back. Dunno what I'm trying to say really. Suppose I thought it would be easier. Friends here are telling me I'll be 'snapped up' . It's only 1 interview though I guess.

The company should have paid to interview you to be honest.

I know it's disappointing but, as you acknowledge yourself, it is only one interview. I think it's probably playing on your mind a lot more because of the effort you had to make to attend. It might be worth contacting them for some feedback as to why you didn't pass the interview, it might put your mind at rest (if it's something you had no control over) or help you prepare for your next one.

Good luck in your hunt :)

@AliyyaJann - A company will typically only pay for someone to attend an interview if they have head-hunted them, they've got no obligation to (and nor should they) otherwise.
