Is this worth it? is it painful? do you regret it? Any info anyone could give me would be much appreciated! It's very expensive so I don't want to make a mistake! AIBU to be considering it?

Christmastree43 clearly has no idea.

One of my colleagues had it done and it looked great. Can I ask those who have had it done how much they paid?

blanktelevision · 06/02/2019 15:49

Best thing I ever had done.

Ollivander84 · 06/02/2019 15:49

@Christmastree43 it's not a selfie, it was taken by a makeup artist to show her work. But here's a photo directly after they were done under a bright light, they've naturally softened now it's over a year
The only other photos I have are with brow gel on as I use it to tint the hair due to having such pale hair

And I paid £££ to get the best. Also with my Botox Wink

To the two ladies who were brave enough to post their pictures here of their results. I think you both look fantastic.
A friend had it done and it also looked great, she has very fair brows and was worried it would look too "heavy brow" but no, it looks so natural.
My best advice would be shop around, make sure you see pictures of pervious clients, even better if you can see in person results from someone who has had it done with the practitioner you choose.

I've had mine micro bladed before but the most recent time I had powder brows which have given me a lot softer look which I prefer.

It does hurt, but they sell numbing cream over the counter in Boots which if you chuck on thickly about half an hour before, you can't feel it.

SpoilsburyToastGirl · 06/02/2019 18:19

Be careful with microblading. I am a permanent makeup artist and I know only about 2 microbladers in the UK who are fully competent. Because microblading relies on the skill and experience of the technician not to go too deep (since with a manual device depth is regulated by pressure alone, unlike with a machine where needle depth can be set) it is very easy to go too deep and leave scarring.

blueshoes · 06/02/2019 18:40

spoils can microblading be done by a machine?

TeddyIsaHe · 06/02/2019 18:43

I have honestly never seen microbladed brows that look anything other than they’ve been microbladed. They just don’t look natural in real life. That’s not to say they’re bad! But if you want a natural look I wouldn’t suggest it.

minkies11 · 06/02/2019 18:46

After seeing @Ollivander I'm definately having mine done this year. They don't have to look like something off TOWIE.....

nevernotstruggling · 06/02/2019 18:50

@Ollivander84 omg that glamour!!!

I'm desperate to get mine done

MitziK · 06/02/2019 18:51

Fashions in eyebrows change. If somebody has it done, they're stuck with that shape (and potentially bits of blurry leftovers) long after the next fashion has come along.

I'm expecting the next trend to be superthin brows, if not quite the 1930s half hoops/Twiggy style ones. I won't be partaking of those trends, but it's nice to be able to change if I want to without having to permanently wear full makeup (to not look like I got bored after doing my brows) and not have to deal with leftover smudges where some bits were put in too deep.

Lamenameagain · 06/02/2019 18:52

I had mine done six months ago as I have naturally very fine and pale eyebrows which I had to dye regularly.

But I'm not keen on the shape despite it being apparently the perfect one for my face. They are quite severe and as I have a naturally very soft look they just look odd and I think it makes me look a bit angry. I'm now trying to find ways to fade them quickly!

As an aside it also bloody hurt to have them done and I needed to go back twice as it didn't take properly after the second top up.

Ollivander84 · 06/02/2019 18:57

Mine was machine done BTW
