AIBU to have a giant moan?

For the following reasons:

  1. I am absolutely choked with a horrible cold that is making me feel miserable. My poor nose is raw from blowing and I sound like a man who smokes 40 a day.
  2. I’ve just discovered a mistake I’ve made at work which I will have to explain to my boss on monday. It’s remedy-able and not the end of the world, but I will still spend a weekend worrying about it.
  3. Despite my diet attempts I have gained half a pound this week (may be snot, may be all the sneaky illness biscuits).
  4. My cat ate a flower and barfed it up on my duvet, ON CLEAN SHEET DAY.
  5. Healthy me of the past decided, when doing the food shop, that a beetroot salad would be an acceptable meal for tonight. Ill me of the present is livid.

😭😭😭😭😭😭

My cat threw up the clean sheets last week. I was furious and gave him a proper telling off which he listened to carefully before shouting for a replacement dinner

Healthy you needs a good talking to. On a cold February night, I'm pretty sure beetroot salad is probably illegal, (if it's not it should be). Grin.

Also don't worry about 3. You are supposed to feed a cold and I have heard that colds like biscuits best.

Do you have a local pizza delivery company? I recommend lots of pizza, cake and movies. Oh and tell cat he/she is banned from the bedroom unless he/she makes up for it with lots of purring and cuddles.

ShadyLady53 · 01/02/2019 16:25

Get a takeaway!

Aquamarine1029 · 01/02/2019 16:27

Well, op, my mum is visiting. Again. After being here for 2.5 weeks for Christmas. I do love her very much but FUCK ME. She is driving me mental.

Tinty · 01/02/2019 16:27

Your doing well, my DCat just gives me a superior look (which I assume means stop feeding me this expensive cat food and give me the organic hand reared, Steak and Salmon I am entitled to) and turns his back on me and stalks off, if I try to tell him off.

kakiqueen · 01/02/2019 16:28

Oh you have my full sympathy.
I am also full of snot. I ache all over and my eyes are dry. Off work all week. 2 listless children at home who both have head aches. Snow.
All my friends are sick of me moaning :)

Cuddle your cat and eat pizza!

FigandVanilla · 01/02/2019 17:10

All round excellent advice, thank you! And thank you for making me laugh about my evil bitch past self forcing salad upon me Grin pizza is a very fine suggestion!

@kakiqueen hope you feel better soon!

You definitely need a take away. Something really spicy to clear your head.

allinthelineofduty · 01/02/2019 17:20

YABVU not to have put a trigger warning that "spicy takeaway" was likely to be mentioned in this thread. I am verging on hangry, CBA to cook dinner and I live somewhere where there are no takeaways/delivery options.

Hope you start feeling better soon OP.

kakiqueen · 01/02/2019 20:06

Thank you @FigandVanilla ( which incidentally sounds like a great pudding option), you too!

tinydancer88 · 01/02/2019 20:13

OP your first 3 things could have been listed by me, so I'm right there with you.

I've responded by buying myself a box of chocolates and two new books to enjoy it with, for no other reason than I'm a miserable cow and I need it Wink

badreams · 01/02/2019 20:17

YANBU!!

Moan away. I've been moaning all evening
