Any time I get a quote for painting or decorating services they always say it will, for example, take us 3 days to complete and it will be £300.
This quote is based on the fact they came up to inspect the job & give the quote, so there is no hidden surprises like cracks in plaster etc.
Then it will finish up taking 9 days & therefore £900 pound.
So basically, AIBU to think that they are taking the piss? That they should finish the job in said amount of time and if they go over that it shouldn’t cost me any extra? I wouldn’t mind if it was a day or 2 extra but to actually triple the time & cost??
So as not to drip feed these are people I consider friends that I like to give a turn but I feel like I’m being ripped off.
