Any read write inc teachers on here?

My child's school uses read write inc and sends home the books as nightly reading. Is there a rough guide for what age/stage children are generally on each book? For example red ditty books at the beginning of reception? At what time would they usually be on purple stage 2 books? Thank you.

My child has this at his school. There's no set age there, just whenever the individual child is ready to move up a level.

I have taught RWI. The programme relies on regular assessment - every few weeks- so the level should be accurate for the child. Children work on the basis of their decoding ability, not age, so phonics is taught to mixed-age groups. It is also expected that the pupil will be able to read the majority of the text without having to sound out every single word, so they won't move on until they can do that.
