Is it really naff/ run down?

We’ve done Center Parcs a few times, how does Butlins compare?

I've just booked up for butlins in March with my DH and my DD who will be 17 month. I'm looking forward to it so hope it's good!

@CosyNights which location??

CosyNights · 26/01/2019 22:24

@ReformedBot1 Skegness

They're both extortionately priced and beyond my budget. I'd probably go if they were more affordable.

@CosyNights

Great, be sure to find the old creche for a toddler proof soft play area.

CosyNights · 26/01/2019 23:03

@DrCoconut we booked 4 nights for £86! Direct through butlins! + £179 or something for breakfast and evening meals on all nights. Have a look on their website.

@ReformedBot1 thanks will definitely look out for that! Thank you very much

I went last year with other couples for one of their music weekends so can't comment on the kids stuff. I'd definitely agree that you should book the best accommodation you can. We were in silver and it was ok but small and a bit shabby. We had the basic dining plan and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't all fried junk food. We had really nice curries and similar and they had good veggie options. I'm glad we had a food plan as cooking for 6 in the tiny kitchen would have been a pain plus the fridge was tiny and we were too busy to bother. Breakfasts were great too.

The drinks aren't cheap but we mostly snuck in our own.

Butlins? F...ing desperate!!

OnlyaMan · 27/01/2019 21:49

I used to work in Bognor. The Butlins there seemed fine. But there was a GIANT amount of adult drinking.
Butlins counts as a hotel-it is not controlled by the normal Licensing Act. Butlins can serve alcohol until they feel like stopping.
That might be a problem.
