At the weekend with your 4-5 year olds and what you do?

OP posts:
TheOxymoron · 26/01/2019 07:41

They’re all still in bed.

Dizzywizz · 26/01/2019 07:43

5.30-6 every day 😭 I try and go back to sleep while they play/iPad but generally I can’t sleep so just sit on the sofa with coffee and my phone

CanIcryandlaugh20 · 26/01/2019 07:45

Mine will sleep in until about 1 as she didn’t go to sleep until one !

UpTree · 26/01/2019 07:45

5yr old was up about half hr ago, I just leave her to it until she wants breakfast... usually around 8, half 8.

Funkyslippers · 26/01/2019 07:45

Mine used to get up around 7am and I'd follow shortly after. We'd always play with her dolls house & dolls. Infact we still do. Going to miss it when she doesn't want to play with them any more!

emz1990 · 26/01/2019 07:45

We're between 5:30-6 every day with my 4 (nearly 5) year old but 3 year old can happily sleep till 7-8 at the weekend

CookieSwirlC · 26/01/2019 07:46

My one year old woke up at 5.3a then woke the 5 year old at 5.50am by crying loudly. We sent the 5 year old back to her bed with the iPad then she came into our room an hour later and all 4 of us are still in our bed watching Hey Duggee.

MamaHechtick · 26/01/2019 07:46

5 year old doesn't wake up until 9 at the earliest at the weekend.

CookieSwirlC · 26/01/2019 07:46

Oh and the 5 year old has not slept past 6am herself all week for some reason.

Turquoisetamborine · 26/01/2019 07:49

My three yr old is still asleep and will be til about 9.30. We wake him at 8.15 on weekdays for nursery.

Solasum · 26/01/2019 07:53

My 5yo was awake at 615. I am desperate for a lie in.

chillichoclove · 26/01/2019 07:53

The groclock says they can get up at 7.30 then they join us on bed for cuddles and stories until we all get up at around 8.30. They will have been chatting sweetly to each other for at least 30 mins beforehand. 3/5yrs

Bouledeneige · 26/01/2019 07:55

My teens get up late morning. I will get up around 9.30 today, maybe later tomorrow. And around 7am during the week.

cliffdiver · 26/01/2019 07:56

Usually 7am on the dot.

But DD2 (4) has a cold and fever and slept until 7.20 today.

HeyArthur · 26/01/2019 08:00

I get up earlier with my teens than I did when they were small. Being a taxi at 7am when you were one at midnight last night is so much fun.

AllSuits · 26/01/2019 08:03

No DCs but I get up at 7am every day, including weekends. Work for myself too so I don't 'have' to get up but I need a routine!

MondeoFan · 26/01/2019 08:05

My 4 year old up at 7.30 and I give her a cereal and she watches tv the teen gets up around 10am I then make a cooked breakfast then we all go into town.

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 26/01/2019 08:11

7 am ..every...single...day! Kids asleep, husband asleep.I ping awake no matter how late I go to bed but in fairness I have to say I love these few hours on my own.Its so quiet and peaceful and no one wants me for anything so I just sit and come round with my coffee..its bliss!

poglets · 26/01/2019 08:14

Weekday 5:30am
Weekend : maybe 7:00am

Yuk!!!!

JPduck · 26/01/2019 08:14

Dd (6) has Gro clock and will get up when the sun comes up (we have weekday and weekend time set). Used this since she was 3. Works for us but know others it has not worked for.

IVEgottheDECAF · 26/01/2019 08:17

2 year old up at 530
5 year old up at 630

Little one has had cereal. We have watched alot of tv and they are playing together

Jaxtellerswife · 26/01/2019 08:20

I'm in bed with my 2 yr old, 4 yr old and pregnant with third. My partner is getting them each a milk and we will have coffee in bed watching CBeebies together until the kids start to be monsters. We do this whenever we can. Love it

Happysaurus · 26/01/2019 08:23

5am every day! Confused
Weekends we put a film on and sit in my bed watching it with cups of tea/hot chocolate!

Pineapple90 · 26/01/2019 08:35

Up between 5.30 and 7 every day. Usually around 6.
2 and 4 year old
They do play quite well (mostly) when they get up. Breakfast at 7. I try not put TV on til I go to the shower about 8 on non nursery/work days. It gives me an hour to get ready and get some housework done.

AnotherRubberDuck · 26/01/2019 08:46

Kids (2 & 3.5) get up at 8am (gro clock) and come in to climb on cuddle me and drag me out of bed.
"Can you not be slow, mummy" was DS's request to me when I still hadn't got out of bed by 8:05.

Then I sit with a coffee and faff on MN wake up a bit before getting their breakfast. They play with each other. The rule here is no tv/toys out until breakfast & dressed.

Same routine at weekends as on weekdays as we don't have a school run to do yet.
