To think the shark duoclean just spits the dirt straight back on the floor?

Am I doing something wrong with it? Is there some special technique I haven’t applied? I’ve spent £175 on the corded version, I’ve got it plugged in and while it’s light to use, it doesn’t acrually seem to work. It sucks in dirt and then spits it straight back out again on to the floor. My previous vacuum was a Miele and just gave up the ghost after 10 years. Is there something I’m doing wrong with this shark? I thought they were meant to be amazing!

I have a duo-clean! Yes you must be doing something wrong (or it's faulty?) as mine is amazeballs!

Only had for 2 weeks but I really noticed the difference from the first use 👍🏻

I’ve had a corded duo clean for a year and it’s brilliant! There must be something wrong.

How many times have you used it? Have you checked that there’s nothing stuck in the rollers?

PodgeBod · 25/01/2019 23:15

I loved my Shark when I first got it but it gets clogged up constantly and just spits the dirt back out.

Alpacanorange · 25/01/2019 23:16

I’ve had mine for 2 years, only time it’s checked stuff out it was blocked, it only has a small suction pipe/space. Check that, if not, short video of what it’s doing and return it to the shop.

Filter needs cleaning regularly or the suction is crap and it drops things, also don’t turn the hoover off as soon as you have finished hovering, give it a couple of seconds and allow the last pieces of crud to be vacuumed/sucked up into its little bin.

I’ve only used it three times.

I have the cordless version and it's amazing - it copes with the fur from dog and 2 cats. It does sound like there is something wrong with yours.

Well I took it back to Argos and they said too bad, so sad. You will need to speak to the manufacturer (never buying from them again). I’ve had to buy a Miele blizzard from John Lewis and it’s amazing. The shark marketing team is better than the shark engineering team.
