To worry about seeing baby’s tummy rippling

MrsMaow · 25/01/2019 19:06

My 10 week old baby has quite a bloated belly at the moment, I was just looking it after a feed and could see it actually ripple like I could see the milk and/or gas moving through it.

Is this normal? I’ve never watched her belly after a feed so maybe she does it every feed and I didn’t know, but it freaked me out. It looked like my bump used to look towards the ends of my pregnancy when I could see her little limbs sticking out and moving around

Call your out of hours GP or 111 for advice/reassurance?

MrsMaow · 25/01/2019 19:14

Thanks for replying

I’m waiting for 111 to answer, just thought I’d try on here to try to calm myself down while I’m waiting, worried first time mum that I am

If she seems happy and has a normal temperature etc it's unlikely to be anything serious or urgent.
Make a GP appointment next week?

MrsMaow · 25/01/2019 20:26

111 took ages to answer so instead I phoned a GP helpline that my health insurance company offer, and he said he’s not concerned but to get GP or HV to observe a feed next week if i see it again. Phew!!
