to use the toilet so much

I have to admit, I need to wee probably more than the average person. I easily urinate about 14-15 times a day for various reasons - I have quite a weak bladder and drink quite a lot of liquids as I am prone to headaches.

The problem is I need to wee a lot during the work day, I easily go over 7 times a day. I can't hold it, if I don't go I will wet myself.

AIBU to go so much during work time? I always get all my work done but I don't make the time up for the time I've gone to the loo. I'm worried I'm (literally) taking the piss. [confused

If you need the toilet then you need the toilet...

Xmasbaby11 · 24/01/2019 19:54

It's more than me but don't think it's that excessive. Just go if you need to! What option do you have?!

franklyshankly2 · 24/01/2019 19:54

I’m the same OP. I’ve been to the gp a few times and have been diagnosed with “a very small bladder”. It’s awful as I love going to gigs and shows but I find them stressful as I always have to pee!

trooth · 24/01/2019 19:54

If you need to pee then you need to pee 🤷🏽

Ellieboolou27 · 24/01/2019 19:55

Sounds like me op! Mornings I can wee 5-6 times it drives me mad, it would never occur to me that work / boss / co workers would have an issue with it.

I have the same problem and I was always up in the middle of the night. I also drink a lot of water. I read that you can train your bladder to go less and that is what I have been trying to do for the last two weeks. I am getting a little better. 4 - 8 times a day is the norm but I was easily going that amount from 7pm to 7am. I have cut back a bit on the water which is also helping.

I'm the same OP!!

I've never really thought about how Work feel about it. It's tough really cos I can't help it Smile
I don't think you should let it bother you, your workplace cannot hold this against you! It's a medical condition.

Aw MNHQ. Deleted? The Op said she was worried others would think she was taking the piss.

There may be hope for you, OP. How old are you? Are you quite young? I used to be exactly like that in my twenties, and it (very slowly) got better and better with advancing age. It's annoying, isn't it? My advice is to try not to worry about it, because people most probably don't notice it as much as you think they do. Also, all those many years ago, I did have some pills prescribed by my doctor that were supposed to reduce the sensitivity of the bladder. They didn't actually work for me, but something like that may work for you.

Peachsnowpop · 24/01/2019 21:20

Google overactive bladder and see if you relate to the symptoms.
I self diagnosed myself with this a few years back. I now don't eat the trigger foods (tomatoes and anything tomato based which is a hell of a lot of things) citric fruits inc food with citric fruit in. Some wines affect me but not all.

Peachsnowpop · 24/01/2019 21:21

I'm not cured and never will be but I'm a hell of a lot better than I used to be. I used to eat tomato based dinners all the time

Batshittery, apparently not being impressed with an overshare is grounds for deletions these days as well. I can understand troll hunting, but come on Hmm.

Ethel36 · 24/01/2019 21:25

I found that cutting out caffeine, and drinking only water has stopped my frequent trips to the toilet.
