Over the counter meds (some)

I've been unwell for the last week or so and although I'm better I'm left feeling quite drained and tired. My DM suggested I could try Metatone tonic to help perk me up but I don't think these sort of over the counter meds usually work. I'm not one to take medicines anyway, which could be colouring my opinion, other than paracetamol when I have a headache.
AIBU to not give it a go or is it a waste of money?

What is in a tonic? If it is vitamins etc it would only be of use if you were short of those things, Read the label and decide if you need it

Speak to the pharmacist.

Metatone is really good when you're feeling run down.

Confusedbeetle · 22/01/2019 15:43

Yep, just google it just vitamins and minerals, A healthy diet will give you that

It's a waste of money. A small amount of vitamin B1 (about as much in one spoonful as in a portion of rice or beans) and a tiny amount of alcohol. Making a conscious effort to eat well for a couple of weeks is likely to be much more beneficial.

I bought some and made no difference - was desperate to feel well bit feel a bit of a fool tbh

Thanks all. I'll try and improve my diet (not that I'm
Eating much) and see if that helps. I do wonder if the winter isn't helping as I don't get much daylight during the day
