Coil replacement- diazepam not helping. Please hold my hand

Last one went wrong. Replacement today in hospital. I wanted sedation. I get diazepam. Does nothing. Fuck

Are you having your cervix anaesthatised? I had this procedure last month.

You can refuse the procedure if diazepam doesn’t work for you. Don’t be pressured into it because of wasting people’s time. You deserve adequate pain relief

Im not worried about the pain. They are doing it using hysteroscopy and im terrified they will find something wrong.

DP is just saying don't have it done but i feel pressured by my GP sue to menopause and stuff.

Am scared they will tell me i have cancer

Oh I see - it is awful but it sounds like it's essential? Is it more to check for cancer than anything else??? Have you got reason to think you are at risk?

No my gp said just coil replacement. Its too low in my urerus. Im so confused. My scans said it was normal.

Honestly it’s more effective than diazepam. You are having the procedure for all the right reasons and it will soon be over.

Focus on one breath at a time.

It was fine. Not pleasant but done quickly and my.uterus looks fine so.no biopsy needed
