To leave my friend alone?

I found out last night that my friends marriage has ended after 2 months.

I found out through a mutual friend. I then text friend just asking how she was and to meet up soon ... didn’t want to mention the separation as I’d rather she tell me herself.

She’s read my message and not replied. Should I leave her alone or try again in a couple of days?

Absolutely leave her to contact you. When something hard is going on, having to deal with an insecure / pushy friend (not saying you are one!) Isn't something you need. I'd just give her space, I'm sure she'll contact you soon
