Baby won't feed after vaccinations

DS has his vaccinations on Friday. He's nearly 13 weeks so a bit late for his first set.

He had an on and off mild fever for a while (24 hours or so) after which came down with calpol. Presumed this was all normal.

He hasn't really fed properly since. 5 minutes here and there but he's dropped nearly all his feeds.

Anyone else ever experienced this? Should I worry?

Hi, both of mine were grizzly and under the weather after their first and third sets, but emerald bounced back pretty quickly.
How is he in himself? Is he having normal no. of soiled/wet nappies? Does calpol seem to make any difference?

Flowers for you, it’s hard seeing them go through difficulties.

ManaPana · 20/01/2019 13:20

@YourDaughter he seems okay, just his sleep patterns that seem to have reversed themselves again! Less wet nappies and he's only done one poo but they're still a normal number considering the guidelines in his red book. Calpol brings his temp down but he's still quite grumpy. All normal I guess but just want him to be back to his normal, happy, cluster feeding (never thought I'd say that) self again!

Aw bless him, sounds like he’s just be knocked a little by his jabs. They do put a lot into them, especially as they’re still so tiny, but it’s worth it in the long run.
I wouldn’t worry today, I’d probably just take him to see the nurse tomorrow if he’s still not feeding properly. But he’s your baby, you know him far better than me. If you’re l worried at all there’s no harm calling nhs for advice.
Sure he’ll happily be back to cluster feeding soon, probably at 3am if he’s anything like mine Grin.

Btw my first post should say both, not sure where emerald came from!

Quite normal. If things continue it is likely that he has come down with an illness nothing to do with his vaccs. It happens sometimes
