to not want stinky sausage rolls as part of the picnic?

First off, I like a sausage roll as much as the next dog.

However, when there is a high likelihood that the whole family will need to eat a picnic lunch IN THE CAR, cooped up together, with limited fresh air, I think it is perfectly acceptable to ban cold sausage rolls and indeed any other product that might stink for ages afterwards.

dh is insisting on s rolls

Sausage rolls.

Tuna & onion.

MMMMmmmmmmmmmmm

Lucycat · 30/06/2007 19:18

our Zafira does that too Enid - nearly gets me on the chin every time I open the blasted thing.

Good for sitting small children on to pull wellies off too.

Desiderata · 30/06/2007 19:20

He he, I can smell it from here! That farty, guffy smell you get when you peel the lid off a tupperware container!

pointydog · 30/06/2007 19:20

in car because it will probably be pissing down, yes.

Cold sausage rolls stink much more than hot ones I have found. And teh flaky bits go blardy everywhere.

are you not a sausage dog then pointy?

hotdog?

pointydog · 30/06/2007 19:22

egg sandwiches a good case in point.

I love an egg sndwich but no other pdogs do. I would never be so inconsiderate as to eat egg sandwiches in a vacuum-packed car in the rain.

Close, MellowMa/Pointy, but my dh works for a wine distribution company ... lashings of very cheap vino.

That beats a sausage roll any day ...
