AIBU to eat dinner for breakfast?

Morning sickness. Coca cola, ginger tea, dry crackers in bed, nothing works. Really happy to finally be pregnant and very thankful but wouldn't mind being able to do something. Even standing up makes me feel so sick. I don't vomit a lot (don't do a lot because I start gagging with every step) but I spend my day feeling 1 second away from that. Till after dinner. After dinner I feel fine! Maybe I should try eating dinner for breakfast? Or could that make it worse? Has anyone tried it?

I would say eat whatever feel good and you can keep down 👍🏼👍🏼
I used to enjoy fridge raiders for breakfast!

***i also vomited not too often but felt ill all day pretty much every day for the first trimester, only alleviated by eating actually; except I had a lot of aversions and could only eat certain things.

I would say its the time of day thats making you feel sick and not the actual food so unfortunately it probably wouldnt make any difference, could alwayts try thou ! Congrats on the pregnancy !

Of course! Whatever works.

It actually makes a lot more sense to eat your main meal in the morning or at lunch time, and have a very light dinner. It's better for digestion, better for energy, and you regulate your food intake better too, and stop snacking all day until dinner.

With morning sickness, try anything that is not harmful to your baby, whatever works is good!

Thank you all! I just had mac and (a very little bit of ) cheese for lunch, a small portion and I feel a lot better. Still queesy but I can walk around and just filled the dishwasher. This is so much better. I seem to favour beige and bland foods for some reason which I hated before! Before my pregnancy I loved eating colourful fruit and veg, now I have to force myself to eat something healthy. Ah well, they say that the second trimester is easier, just 2,5 weeks to go then.

Thank you for sharing your advice and/or experiences.

Just eat what you can keep down. I had hyperemesis first time and pretty much lived on ice cream. There are still foods/smells I can't tolerate from that time and the bairn's nearly 12 🤣

Having an empty stomach makes nausea worse so try to eat something, even a tiny amount, of whatever you can manage.
