Neighbour smoking cannabis

I have lived in my property (Housing Association) for 5 years, for the last 3 years, my neighbour below has been smoking cannabis to the point where the smell is so strong in my property it's overbearing and my furniture and clothes smell of the stuff!
My housing association are trying to deal with it, but don't think there's a lot they can do. AIBU to knock on their door and politely ask them to be more considerate? Or do I wait for Housing Ass. To take action?

I don't think asking politely that they be more considerate will make a blind bit of difference. They are not going to stop with their 3 year (and probably a lot more) addiction due to a polite request from a neighbour. Personally I wouldn't highlight yourself to them as they might get annoyed if they think you are causing them problems with HA. Hopefully other neighbours are making complaints. If you / neighbours have children surely you can say this is unacceptable around children and that should hold more weight I imagine. I think keep putting pressure on HA to sort out for now.

I reported to the council and the guy was evicted (direct council house, we owned though) I said unless they sorted it I would withhold council tax and write to my mp and newspaper to the explain why - I guess they wanted my £1500 a year!

Three little letters....................TCP

I had a split nail last weekend which was sore because it was digging into the skin on my thumb after id cut the nail off so i put TCP on it to prevent a possible infection...............that killed the dope smell for a while.
