Why the effing hell do people mix chemicals?!

I just watched a cleaning video that came up on my recommended list on YouTube and she added:

A bleach tablet
Toilet Duck foaming bleach gel and,
These small pellet things you add to your washing to make it smell fresher

All in the fucking toilet and cleaned it with all of it mixed together... didn't even bother flushing it.

WHY?! Just use ONE damn product. This Mrs. Hinch crap is seriously getting out of hand! She does the same bloody thing. I have to hold my nose when I bleach my toilet because I hate the thought of inhaling it!

I saw something recently about a woman who mixed bleach with some sort of drain/toilet unblocker and created chlorine gas. The house had to be evacuated and fire brigade was called in 😂😂😂

Don’t mix chemicals!

I grew up knowing that you shouldn't mix harpic and ajax - before I even knew what they were. Were there films or something?

Anyway, as an adult I have never tried to use more than one chemical for that reason,.

A cleaner at my old workplace mixed products in the toilets, she fainted and banged her head quite badly.

oh yes, bleach and toilet cleanser can make you toilet bowl crack. As in all the way through, as in you need a new toilet. But then again I remember when changing rooms was on. That Lawrence guy knew what he was doing, but the others "built" furniture, that could most definitely not last. I was very surprised that they would show such amateurish craft on telly as people would think that is how you do it.

I mostly agree. I just use a multipurpose spray to clean most rooms in the house. Never understood the difference between kitchen and bathroom cleaner sprays either, except for the name. However, I do use a cistern block and one of those cleaners which sits under the rim of the toilet. I live in a very hard water area and it's most effective way to stop the limescale building up (unless I want to spend ages scrubbing which I don't!) Adding washing freshners is weird though, and it doesn't seem great to encourage people to mix cleaning products which could potentially have a toxic chemical reaction.

Urgh the thought actually makes me suffocate. Stupid, stupid thing to do! People out there saying they didn't know, there's fucking warnings written all over the bloody bottle "DO NOT MIX WITH OTHER CHEMICALS"

The warning symbols are on the packaging. It's a Darwin award waiting to happen.
