Why do I hate it so? My son loves it

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 29/06/2007 18:45

Because it's not made for adults. Your son is (I presume) a small child.

teafortwoandtwofortea · 29/06/2007 18:45

I'm with you. DS1 and DS2 are with your DS. More worryingly so is DH

SoupDragon · 29/06/2007 18:46

But it is a pile of sh*te. BabyDragon's not impressed either.

fryalot · 29/06/2007 18:46

you hate it because it is PERFECT for small children.

dd2 adores it and will sit totally absorbed by the telly for the entire programme.

Use the nightgarden to babysit for you and go and make yourself a cup of tea.

YABU

j20baby · 29/06/2007 18:54

this thread reminds me of a girl at work, sat down to watch this with a cup of tea, thinking she was watching a gardening program!

pmsl, she's not even blonde!

haven't seen it by the way, but pretty sure YABU

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 19:02

okay, just thought i'd ask as my heckles go up again....

bookwormmum · 29/06/2007 19:11

The title of this programme makes me think of dirty nappies for some reason .

allieBongo · 29/06/2007 19:12

YABU, no run along and enjoy it with your ds

j20baby · 29/06/2007 19:14

muppetgirl this is for you

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 19:15

aaarrrggghhhhhh nuuuooooooooooooooooooo!

OP posts:
muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 19:16

wtf is 'pinky ponk' anyway!

OP posts:
fingerwoman · 29/06/2007 19:21

I too loathe it. It's vile. It's incredibly twee, the names make me want to puke- wtf is with pinkyponk and iggle piggle???
iggle piggle looks like he has a deformed head and is quite freaky looking.
It's slow and boring.
hate it hate it hate it

should I copy and paste this in the disproportionately angry thread?

allieBongo · 29/06/2007 19:36

you are wrong. it's lovely

SurferRosa · 29/06/2007 19:40

I quite like it in a detached and objective kinda way
DS who is 4 tries to tear himself away but somehow can't.

allieBongo · 29/06/2007 19:41

my ds is 7 and loves it. (not that i'm allowed to tell his friends)

onlyjoking9329 · 29/06/2007 19:41

any programme that keeps my girls happy is ok as far as i am concerned. to me it does seem a bit weird but then again so did teletubbies at first.

I think we all realise it's not aimed at us, but there are some programs you can stomache more than others...
It is good for babysitting though, my ds LOVES it!!

I do fancy the doodle do man though and quite a lot of my friends think sportacus is a bit of alright....

OP posts:
fluffyanimal · 29/06/2007 20:15

Nah, Robbie Rotten is far more sexy. Come on, I couldn't get jiggy with anyone who called a carrot Sport Candy.

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 20:22

Okay, own up.....who like justin from something special?

OP posts:
Aloha · 29/06/2007 20:32

Why on earth do you expect to like it yourself? Do your kids love property ladder or Ten Years Younger?
It's not for you.

muppetgirl · 29/06/2007 20:35

I repeat
I think we all realise it's not aimed at us, but there are some programs you can stomache more than others...
It is good for babysitting though, my ds LOVES it!!
