I started a new teaching role in September and was bullied so badly I had to get out. I accepted another role which was available straight after I left in November, which is unfortunately not permanent.
I was told it could be made permanent after a budgetary review, but I won't know for a while and the thought of being without a job after the end date is causing me to worry. That's without thinking about the fact that I'd actually rather stay than leave for something unknown.
Jobs are starting to be advertised for next Sept and I'm worried that if I do nothing and wait, I will miss opportunities and perhaps be under more pressure to secure a role anywhere in order to be employed!
WIBU to apply for jobs so soon after starting, which would include asking for a reference and requesting time off for interviews, (no option to keep quiet, as refs are requested after shortlisting in education) and possibly come across as disloyal or as though I wouldn't want/take the role on permanently? Or WIBU to do nothing yet and vaguely hope for it not to be necessary?
