I'm 34 and dealt with was struggling to get pregnant.
Since I was 25 I've had awful pelvic pain and back and forth to doctors with no explanation or follow up.
Last March they finally referred me to a gynaecologist.
In July I had my first apt and straight away she said it sounds like endometriosis.
She said we can fit the copper coil and I refused and said I wanted a laparoscopy so I knew what I was dealing with and I wanted kids ASAP so i wanted it treated.
She said first you try birth control.
September she said try the pill for 3 months and we will see you in December and if you want a laparoscopy still we can add you to waiting list.
December came and went no apt letter.
Rang her secretary yesterday and was told instead of weekly clinics she's now doing monthly clinics and she is full till JUNE!
6 months after I was meant to see her.
A lap wait is up to 6 months so that's another year before diagnosis and treatment.
I'm heartbroken as this lap might be my only chance at children.
I'm 35 this year.

You can complain, but whether it will do any good. If she's booked up she is. I cry as lot when I'm trying to get appts., not to manipulate but because I'm usually in pain but they seem to be sympathetic when they can see what's going on. I used to hate having to give personal info to secretarys etc., but notes dobt give it a second thought because they get me what I need. If you speak to the secretary and explain and put yourself up for cancellations etc that may help?

Do you have money/ things you can sell/ ability to take it a loan to go private? Have you costed it?

Sorry, tough times. Xx

You can ask to be referred to a different gyne. You can choose a consultant and hospital and do an e referral, speak to your gp about it
