Any ideas what this may be? Its all there is other than the Eczema DC has and disappears when pressed.

My DM says chicken pox but surely it would be more spread out ...

Looks like the start of chicken pox and I bet you’ll get a load more overnight.

Aquamarine1029 · 10/01/2019 20:49

Looks like pox or Molluscum contagiosum to me.

rebelrosie12 · 10/01/2019 20:51

Yea ex nursery teacher here, id guess mollescum too. You'll know by tomorrow if it's the pox

WildCherryBlossom · 10/01/2019 21:31

My guess would be molloscum

Could be hand foot and mouth. When my DD had it it started around the bum and gentitals area, then the rash spread over the trunk before going to arms and legs.

The big way to tell between that and chicken pox is the itch. Hand foot and mouth isn’t itchy but chicken pox is. Both cause blister type rashes.

Frlrlrubert · 10/01/2019 22:34

I'd guess chickenpox from the picture, are there any pinprick like dots on other locations? HFM blisters were flatter (DD has had both in the last year, and both times suffered with them in her nappy area, though they did start in their 'traditional' areas), I've not seen molluscum myself but think they're dimpled in the middle?

As a PP said, you'll probably be able to tell in the morning once there's a few more.

It’s probably different in each person, my 11 year old had HFM last year and was in agony with the itch. And DD didn’t suffer at all with chicken pox!

HJWT · 11/01/2019 08:47

@GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat thanks, she isn't itching it, but she is itching her eczema, iv booked her in with the GP because it could be related to that it seems to of formed into one big patch today

When I had HFM caught from my toddler, we were both itching like mad. It is the most itchy I have ever been. That doesn’t look like what our HFM spots looked like.

Could it be an allergic reaction to something?

birdiewoof · 11/01/2019 10:36

When I had hand foot and mouth, it wasn’t itchy it was painful, my hands and feet burned like crazy. Never felt so ill in my life it was awful.
