NC for this as I'm slightly embarrassed to have gotten to 27 years old and never had a job .
I've been a sahm since I was 17 years old , I've recently finished a training programme and have passed everything I needed to , but I'm finding it problematic to find a reference . I need to give two , I've had one back from an old teacher I'm in touch with but do not know who to ask for the second .
I did ask my health visitor and she agreed but I've reminded her three times now and still no response so I really need to find someone else .
Does anyone know who would be suitable to provide one for me ? Thanks

Your potential employer will request the references, you just need to give them their contact details. Your HV is waiting for a request.

Have you ever minded anyone else’s kids (along with your own)? You might not of thought of that as “childminding” but if you have, the parents might be an option. And don’t worry, 27 is young Flowers

Volunteering is a great way to get references, especially if you can find something that links to your chosen career. Do-it.org lists volunteer opportunities. Good luck!

I wrote to the pension scheme who had taken the clients from my old work when they closed to get employment dates, they insisted on an employment reference

They've agreed that the second reference can be a personal one , so I can use a friend ! Thanks for the help :)
