To ask about the Mumsnet videos

On the side of the screen. Are they slowing down the site for anyone else or is it just me? Trying to scroll down threads and everytime a video starts, the thread just slows down and it takes a while to get right to the bottom.

These are really getting on my nerves. I can't stand auto play anything. I do not want to see a bloody makeup tutorial going on when I'm trying to read Mumsnet. I could not be less interested in such videos.

I don't get why they're there. If I want to read a thread, that's what I'll do. If I want to watch a video, ditto. And yet these videos are constantly there in the corner of my eye even though I have indicated ZERO level of interest in them.

It's like the bloody Daily Mail.

They're driving me mad. I've had to mute my laptop everytime I'm on here now but the site is still crawling along everytime they start up :(
