apart from mumsnet? I’ve been bedbound with a nasty virus for nearly a week and I’ve read the latest few pages of AIBU, some of Relationships, Baby Names and Sex. I also look at Reddit a bit and (I’m not proud) the Daily Fail sidebar of shame. Please can someone recommend something else because I’m beyond fucking bored. Thank you!

Waste many hours on instagram

Singlebutmarried · 08/01/2019 21:37

Personally I’d just google Hugh Jackman and go with it.

itsbritneybiatches · 08/01/2019 21:37

What is reddit?

TweedAddict · 08/01/2019 21:37

birdiewoof · 08/01/2019 21:38

Just Mumsnet really 😬

itsbritneybiatches · 08/01/2019 21:38

I waste time on conspiracy theory websites, it's my guilty pleasure.

I scared myself shitless last week when the other half was away reading about black eyed children.

But I'm a wuss!

maddiemookins16mum · 08/01/2019 21:39

In no particular order....😊😊
I give myself a budget (say 500K) and look at houses in other countries. It’s amazing what you can find in some backwater in Utah.
Travel blogs, especially train journeys across India or Australia.
Tripadvisor can amuse me for hours.
Angry people in local newspapers is also great fun.

@Singlebutmarried Grin

@Moominfan do you have any interesting Instagram recommendations?

Sporcle quizzes
YouTube
Digital spy
And I'll join you reading the DM's sidebar of shame.

Sparklingbrook · 08/01/2019 21:40

I quite like a nose at the planning applications on the council's website. Reading the objections comments- hilarious.

HaveAnotherCuppa · 08/01/2019 21:40

Sporcle for quizzes- can waste hours trying to get a new badge!

MiddleClassProblem · 08/01/2019 21:41

Oh I too love a buzzfeed quiz. Particularly ones where I choose food from menus. I don’t care what the answers are 😂

MiddleClassProblem · 08/01/2019 21:42

Or I read horror movie plots on wiki so when I watch them I know when to squint

breals · 13/01/2019 17:39

boredalot.com is amazing for bored people. :)

Fowles94 · 13/01/2019 17:41

I wind people up on my local newspaper sites 😂🙈

Fowles94 · 13/01/2019 17:43

@MiddleClassProblem

They're my favourites too, I get hungry though 😂

SpringIntoSpring · 13/01/2019 17:43

Dr Pimple Popper on YouTube!
Facebook - I'm a member of a few groups on there and I like reading the arguments as well as finding ideas and trying to follow some of the tutorials.

MissTook · 13/01/2019 17:46

Pinterest, I've spent many a happy hour redecorating my house in my head.
I love it for sewing ideas too - I have oodles of stuff saved to make and one day I may actually make one of them. Smile

@itsbritneybiatches Reddit is basically a massive forum that comprises of plenty of individual sub-communities that are all run pretty much independent of each other.

You can subscribe to whatever sub-community you're interested in (there's anything from landscape photography, to news, to politics, to history, to photographs taken more than 25 years ago, to pictures of cute animals, to communities dedicated to pictures of chairs underwater etc), and whatever you subscribe to will show up on your home feed (similar to a Facebook feed).

medusa83 · 13/01/2019 17:47

Im a sucker for reading people's views on issues to help formulate my own position, so mainly Twitter and various online newspapers (comments more than articles).

Sometimes reddit- pages like suberbowl make me think how diverse people are in terms of interests!

Rarely on Facebook or Instagram.

I have some amazing books at the moment which I need to get to.

Gotstuckwiththisname · 13/01/2019 17:53

Listverse is great.

EmeraldShamrock · 13/01/2019 17:53

I read the court news and love to read up on major crimes from 1800 and 1900s.
