Do MLM reps make spelling mistakes on purpose?

I have noticed that quite often when posts about various products appear on my social media feeds there are really obvious spelling mistakes. I can't help but wonder if it's a ploy by these MLM companies to make us notice the posts more?

Also whilst I'm wondering this has anyone seen the word 'clang' appear? Is this some 'real' word that people are using now or a spelling mistake for clan?

I'm sure I've heard that people who send scam emails (Nigerian Prince etc) purposefully include spelling mistakes because their target audience are people who are below average intelligence. The type of people who notice the spelling mistakes are the type who will be able to spot the scam and are not worth wasting their time on, whereas people who don't notice are (in theory) more likely to fall for the scam.

I have a feeling MLMs work (on some level) in the same way.
