because he is making the hard Brexit dreams of the ERG possible more effectively than any other person?

He is utterly ineffectual as an opposition leader.
He does not hold the government to account on anything.
He does not pop up on the media to argue policy points on any topic.
He actively supports a hard Brexit which will damage the poorest Labour voters.

JRM and BoJo and co must be very very pleased with their investment in him Grin

He’s been playing a very, very long game if so Grin

I’d vote him in as the lesser of two evils but even I admit he’s a useless tosspot when it comes to actually holding the Tories to account over Brexit and well, anything!

He won't hold the Tories to account over Brexit...not because he's a mole but because he's more of a communist than a socialist.

I don't mean in a Red Square and might of Russia kind of communism which is the media portrayal of him, but the most basic level of communist that sees individual prosperity as a bad thing, borders as a bad thing and religion as a dangerous influence on the goals of communism.

In his ideal world of politics, everyone would be equal. There'd be no need to worry about social housing because all housing would be state owned, there'd be no need to worry about migration because there'd be no borders, there's no need to worry about gender identity and safe spaces because we're all the same which is why he doesn't give a shiny shit about women There's just enough of his ethos that marries ok with socialism though to make him palatable to the socialists in the Labour party.

He's not effective opposition, he's not an effective leader. The sooner that Labour jettison the man as leader and get someone who can make socialism work for the country the better.

climbs off soapbox

Corbyn was a Brexit supporter at least between 1975-2011 and possibly beyond.

Then again, Tony Blair fought his first election (as a candidate) on a ticket of leaving the EEC which "has drained our natural resources and destroyed jobs" (quote from his election leaflet 1983).

Aside from proper politicians like Dennis Skinner they are all a bunch of turncoats who will say anything to get a vote or two.

... Someone who can make Socialism work for this country...'
Jesus Christ. Give me ONE example of a country where Socialism has worked. Just one.
You should be bloody ashamed of yourself.

Utterly ashamed that I believe in proportionate taxation to pay for:

  • NHS
  • Schools
  • Welfare state that protects the vulnerable from starvation and homelessness

How absolutely abhorrent of me to think that spreading the burden of paying for these things according to how wealthy you are is a good idea and the foundation of a decent country. The reason not a single country has managed it, is because the wealthy just move their taxable assets to a country that happily lets them pay less at the expense of their poorer citizens. If that weren't possible then most countries could successfully run through socialism. Greed is the reason it fails - the wealthy just don't see why they should contribute to the greater good of the human race. There are notable exceptions to this of course, but sadly not enough

I shall go and hang my head in shame! like fuck!

Although never in British hisoty have those better off paid a higher part of the UK tax burden and that is under a Tory party. I cannot find a small state low tax party sadly.

And yes Corbyn is a great asset for the Tories.
