What have you tried so far? 6 months is still early days so try not to worry (easier said than done) they do still get their nutrition from milk at this age

“They” say start with veg purées but I started on baby rice then fruit purée then whatever I was eating, just making sure there wasn’t too much sugar or salt given.

mine was about 9 months before he started to eat solids! despite trying from 6 months

Don't panic, it's very early days. Just keep offering food with no pressure and leave your baby to it. Your baby might just play with the food to begin with, but will eventually work out what to do.

It's still very early so don't worry. I don't think my second ate til she was about 10 months. There is a good book called My Child Won't Eat by Carlos Gonzalez that is very reassuring.

I agree with the pp, as in what have you tried so far?
Mine were weaned at 4 months and 6 months which were the guidelines at the time.
Best foods to start off with are pureed sweet veg such as parsnip, carrot, potato, and gradually add bland meat stuff like chicken

Don't panic, 6 months is still very young. I highly recommend Baby-Led Weaning, which I did with all my 3, and which I found really cuts out the stress of weaning. I just started to put food out for my baby when I was eating, and eventually they start to eat too. There is a lot of play and throwing it on the floor at first, but the eating does come; you'll see it in the nappy!

@GlitterStick you’ve just reminded me I did find sweet potato was a huge hit, and a little bit of beetroot. I also kept trying different things, but would re introduce foods she didn’t like previously and found her taste changed and she would eat it (peas and broccoli!)
