Children covered in food

I hate seeing photos/videos of children and babies covered in food they've been eating. Think bologneise, curries etc smothered all over their face and clothes.

Aibu to think it looks disgusting and not understand why parents post photos of their children like it? Just clean them up!

Do you have childrenrabbit?

Didntwanttochangemyname · 06/01/2019 21:32

I don't understand how this could possibly, in any way, have any impact on your life. Why do you care?

hazell42 · 06/01/2019 21:35

My favourite picture of my daughter is one when she was 3 with a face covered in chocolate. She looks blissfully happy. each to their own

Justheretogiveaviewfrommyworld · 06/01/2019 21:38

Unclench. Life will be much easier! Confused

Karigan195 · 06/01/2019 21:39

I have a kid and I don’t like it either. You’re allowed to not like or like what the hell you want to /do. There’s only a problem if you try to force your likes and dislikes on others. So no YANBU

Sparklesocks · 06/01/2019 21:40

If it’s not your kids it’s not really your business

NotUmbongoUnchained · 06/01/2019 21:41

Pictures don’t bother me but I hate seeing kids walking around with filthy faces and clothes. Just wipe them!

Thankfuckforgin · 06/01/2019 21:43

Because sometimes we are blinded by love for them that we only see a happy little face and forget they look absolutely gross to anyone else! I say this as someone guilty of posting the exact pic you described when weaning my son but who would find someone else's child in the same state totally revolting Grin

donajimena · 06/01/2019 21:44

I'm a parent and I don't like it.

Soubriquet · 06/01/2019 21:45

I don’t know...one of my favourite memories is my ds aged nearly 2 having eaten a piece of chocolate cake for Christmas.

He had just finished the milk ladder after having CMPA so this was his first experience of chocolate cake

He loved it so much he tossed his fork aside and was just ramming it into his mouth with his hands. He looked a mess but was so happy

If I had a picture of it, I would have put it on my fb

HeyArthur · 06/01/2019 22:04

Oh this reminds me I have super cute picture of my dd who was about 18months old at the time, sat in her high chair with food all over her face and the biggest, cutest grin I have ever seen. She's 16yrs old now! I really must dig that one out and frame it Grin

gamerchick · 06/01/2019 22:05

Do you have kids OP?

GinIsIn · 06/01/2019 22:08

What a buzzard thing to get so worked up about. Confused

LovingLola · 06/01/2019 22:08

Can you just maybe step away from whatever social media platform you are seeing these photos/videos on ?

TakeMe2Insanity · 06/01/2019 22:13

Relax op

Best live picture of dc while on holiday this year was covered in blueberry jam and his guilty look followed by my gasp and then laughter. I had literally turned my head for a couple of seconds and he had thrown aside his pancakes and just scoffed the jam.
