Wash hair every day

It’s fine hair in a short layered bob. Looks great on day one - with a quick blast from dyer and very quick I even over with straightener. Day 2. - feels and looks greasy and flat. I don’t want to ruin my hair and love the bib cut and plan to get a trim about every 6 weeks. It was different when could tie it back. Dry shampoo feels gross.

Not sure what you are asking.

Yes you can wash your hair everyday. What do you think people who do sport everyday and get sweaty do?

Clionba · 04/01/2019 19:52

Wash it every day. No problem. I have got fine hair and have washed it every single day for the last thirty odd years!! It's always shiny and soft!

LaurieFairyCake · 04/01/2019 19:53

I've literally got the same hair and have washed it every day for 40 years

My hair is in perfect condition

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 04/01/2019 19:53

I run and go to the gym most days, so without daily showers I'd be ostracised from society. My hair is a shoulder-length bob and hasn't ever suffered from daily washing.

Santaisfastasleepatlast · 04/01/2019 19:53

Have washed my hair every day for at least 30 years.. Even leave the house with it wet!
Haven't melted or ever had a cold!!

userofthiswebsite · 04/01/2019 19:54

My hair gets washed everyday as if I sweat, my hair will be dirty. So every morning, and if I go to the gym in the evening, after that too.

Timeforchanging · 04/01/2019 19:55

It’s the styling I worry about - the layers look too blunt if not smoothed and I used to tie it up on day 2 and maybe 3. I don’t want a load of split ends. But I love the cut and will get it trimmed at 6 weeks.

If your hair is short and you get it cut regularly then you are unlikely to suffer touch with split ends.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 04/01/2019 19:57

I don't think split ends should be a concern with a short bob and six week trims?

Timeforchanging · 04/01/2019 19:59

Great. I’ll keep doing it every day.

I washed my hair every day for most of my life, it's never been dry or damaged.
Use conditioner too and it will be fine.

Mummyshark2019 · 04/01/2019 20:01

Same here. Wash every day even use conditioner and perfect.

MadMum101 · 04/01/2019 20:05

My very fine hair is kept in a shoulder length bob for this reason as opposed to the impractical lower back length that I had for years. It looks greasy if I miss a day washing it and anyway I love having gorgeous smelling hair. I roughly blow dry and go over with a big hair styler for 5 mins. Even after all that I often pin it up as it freaking annoys me as its so flyaway. Wish I had curly coarser hair that I only needed to wash a few times a week regularly.

ShalomJackie · 04/01/2019 20:05

I have had a short graduated bob for years, fine hair but lots of it. Wash every day 5 mins to blow dry. Never had a split end. I have 6 weekly cuts too

RollaCola84 · 04/01/2019 20:09

I have a short, fine layered bob, never had hair longer than about mid neck length and I wash my hair every day. Sometimes twice a day, my hair looks lank if not washed every day and feels horrid to me. I understand if you have thick hair that takes ages to dry but mine takes less than 5 mins, I hate the feel of dry shampoo.

MuncheysMummy · 04/01/2019 20:10

BUT with fine hair in a layered bob you should NOT be needing to straighten it to stop layers looking too blunt! that must be because they are and need chipping into slightly on the ends to texturise them and remove the weight lines that have obviously been left in.

justbinthefeckinbyebyebox · 04/01/2019 20:11

I have passed shoulder length hair which is high lighted,
mine is washed and blow dried everyday too, can look
a bit dry at the ends sometimes but I don't get it cut that regularly!

MillicentSnitch · 04/01/2019 20:14

I started putting conditioner on my fine, bobbed hair before I shampoo instead of afterwards - it definitely means I need to wash it a bit less.
