Jeans sizes (straight not skinny).

Can I ask what size of jeans you would buy from nutmeg if you were a UK size 14 but they only had 12s or 16s in the ones you like?
Aibu to buy a 12? Material seems quite soft and stretchy and the 16s look enormous.
I don't know my measurements but I don't have wide hips and not much of a waist (not defined at all so no obvious curves).
Has anyone got experience of their sizes? There's nowhere to try them on or I would.

I wouldn’t risk it as they wouldn’t fit properly so I’d end up never wearing them.

Just tried them on at home. They're ok actually. If I buy a 14 (my "safe" size) sometimes I have to keep a belt on to stop the gaping.
But size 16 would have fallen down.
