Yes! Summer?? My ar*e!

mummylin2495 · 27/06/2007 22:41

well i have to admit i was moaning about it until i saw the news and all the poor people whose homes have been flooded.so im not going to anymore.( maybe just a little moan then }

chestnutty · 27/06/2007 22:41

For a change us up north altho wet aren't the worse affected. Have you had floods, ebenezer?

entropy · 27/06/2007 22:43

I am cos I live nr sheffield

I'm pissed off that the shops are all flooded and the public transport is up the swanny and that I have had tonsillitus since friday and REALLY NEED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE!!

sweetkitty · 27/06/2007 22:45

I felt like this as well until I saw all the flooded homes and thought it could be worse.

BUT I hate the changing weather i.e. you get up it's raining and cold so you get dressed and decide to stay in as it's chucking it down then in the afternoon it's lovely and warm but it's to late to do anything plus the grass is wet so the children can't go outside. I bloody hate the rain/sun/rain/sun thing.

entropy · 27/06/2007 22:46

I should be thankful that I live on high ground really, but my cabin fever is making me feel a little irrational....

mother2b · 28/06/2007 09:46

i think someone should invent the 'waterproof' house, it would be great

unless you left the door open

ebenezer · 28/06/2007 10:26

Yes, we've had floods here - not as bad as Sheffield so I suppose I should count my blessings. But my kitchen is under a few inches of water.

I'm fricking livid at this shite weather. Every summer I find myself asking the same question: 'Why am I still living in this grey, rainy fecking country?'.

MrsWho · 28/06/2007 19:32

YANBU its summer!

purpleturtle · 28/06/2007 19:42

That's how I felt on Monday as I sat in my dry house at the top of a hill in Sheffield, totally oblivious to all the drama. Once I saw the 10 o'clock news I decided that feeling fed up with the weather was a bit unreasonable...

dyzzidi · 28/06/2007 19:44

I am far luckier than some. But YANBU it is nearly July and i am sat here with heating on and blanket over my knees FFS.

flightattendant · 28/06/2007 19:46

One day I think I'm going to live on a boat just in case.

mylittlefreya · 28/06/2007 20:24

If your kitchen is underwater, YANBU.
I am being unreasonable, as we are just soggy and fed up. I hope that, for those worst affected, the monsoon endeth soon.

Novacane · 28/06/2007 23:02

Im bloody fed up of puddle jumping, i wish i never tried to be a good, laid back parent, cos every time we get even a shower now DS insists on doing it.
I hate getting wet.
YANBU

Pinkchampagne · 28/06/2007 23:03

I'm getting very fed up with it now, especially after watching the forecast this morning & seeing it is set to continue all weekend!

7 bloody weeks of it here in Devon. Is waaaay beyond a joke, I agree. This is meant to be sodding summer, for Pete's sake.

agnesnitt · 29/06/2007 00:11

It's Wimbledon fortnight, it's illegal for it to be dry

Agnes

eidsvold · 29/06/2007 02:05

yes - send it to us - we are facing very tough water restrictions with more to come.

flightattendant · 29/06/2007 08:57

Bailing out a flooded 'conservatory' (or so my landlord calls it) with a week old screaming infant over one shoulder, and a piece of glass in your foot, is not what I call fun

But that's landlords not the weather that pisses me off!
