I've started the whole no social media for a year thing today apart from Mumsnet but that doesn't count right?!?

Nope Mumsnet doesn't count. At all.

Mumsnet doesn’t count in my eyes - I see it as being like WhatsApp.

Only Facebook and Instagram make me feel bad about myself (I feel bad about scrolling, find myself thinking bitchy thoughts about people’s posts, feel jealous of people) which doesn’t enhance my life.

I’ve limited myself to 1 hour a day on these apps and I try to just use it for business purposes and not scroll (I have a business account and use it for marketing)

I find that WhatsApp and mimsnet do enhance my life as I gain information and interact with people.

I use the screen time feature on my iPhone and it’s great.

That's exactly how I feel to be fair these apps make me feel bad. Mumsnet encourages and supports and advices

It counts to me but one instead of multiple is a step forward.

Social media is Twitter, fb, insta, snapchat.

Mumsnet is an anonymous forum so not social media at all.

Mumsnet is a forum, not social media, otherwise you could say reddit and message boards are social media
