to ask for your help booking a spa day...

... around Staffordshire/West Midlands?

I'm not the pampering type but it's my mums birthday and I have a horrid vision of me booking somewhere thinking it's lovely and turning up to a leisure centre surrounded by kids (nothing wrong with that but would rather not for mum's birthday!)

Can anyone suggest anywhere lovely?

Look on spabreak.com and filter by area.

Then google the places that come up so you can see what they’re like.

That’s what I’ve always done and had some lovely breaks but always Home Counties as I’m in London.

Look for a good 'bubble rating'

Have a look at Moddershall oaks.

Moddershall Oaks is lovely. And I've heard nothing but good things about Hoar Cross Hall too.

The Hilton Spa at St George’s Park (England football training ground just a few miles from Burton-on-Trent, is in a lovely country location and they sometimes tend to have some good offers on.

Not sure what your budget is, but there’s also Hoar Cross Hall - they do mother and daughter spa days. X

Hoar Cross. It’s lovely there. They have some great offers on today with treatment included. Food is excellent. Only advice is take a water bottle as the water dispensers have those silly cone cups. Have been lots with my mum friends and on my own. Never not enjoyed it.

Look at booking.com you can select the filter for swimming pool. Then you can look at lovely hotels that have pools, spas, treatments

Frogqueen13 · 01/01/2019 17:23

Hoar cross, the belfry or ragdale hall are all local ish

I would avoid any near resorts world tbh

Is Whittlebury too far from you? It’s lovely.

I've also been to St George's Park a few times and can recommend there too - they are often very reasonable in price and you tend to get longer treatments in the packages than at other places.
