Ndn are having a NYE party. Music is still audible through the wall, plus noisy guests. I know it's NYE, but AIBU to want to get at least some sleep tonight!!!

(They have form for loud parties, but not for some time...)

Sorry you are in the same boat. They seem to be wearing hobnail boots and dancing on the wooden floors too (we live in a semi with a shared hallway) and it's driving me nuts.

Hopefully they finish soon! At least it's not every weekend by the sounds of it I suppose.

If you're feeling slightly petty though... Go and wake them up at 6am. Knock and ask if they've got any tea bags.

I've just been over they've got a huge gazebo in the garden with smoke machines and lights. I had to shout through the gazebo to get their attention and he just looked st me like I was crazy and said sorry.

Happy bah humbug to you too,we’ve just murdered loads of songs in our living room with our sons,two back off to uni next week.Not one fuck given,we saw the new year in,happy to be together,alive and was a huge release from revision for them before they go straight back into exams.

People who don't give any fucks are people I avoid and hope they never have to be treated by a doctor or nurse who doesn't get the choice to have nye off and give zero fucks about other people.

You absolutely shoiuld give a fuck otherwise move out to the country where you'll have no neighbours. The New Year came in at Midnight, there's no need to still be screeching and blasting music at 5am. DS2 would be getting up to go to work in A&E right about now, it's bloody selfish to keep him and everyone else like him awake all night, and not to mention dangerous too.

It's completely unfair on children, babies, families and old people as well.

As others have said, if you live in the middle of nowhere and aren't affecting anyone else, then fine. In an urban area where people are going to be bothered by your noise, and you are still screaming, shouting and playing music at 4.30 am, it's totally selfish, even on NYE. Of course I was expecting parties and celebration, but not into the VERY small hours.....

I'm not an NHS worker (or a shift worker), but my brother is a surgeon, and is currently studying for his final exams to be a consultant. I hope his neighbours have more consideration for others than mine do.

Thankfully, now their DCs are at uni, it's really only in the holidays, but it used to be a regular occurrence, so I'm less tolerant of it than I would be if it was a very rare thing.

Yes that’s too late(early?!). I’m up for work now(hospital) in bed by half 12 but fireworks kept on for ages. Do people watch ones on tv then do their own?

I hope MaluCashu's neighbours have decided today as a day off was the perfect time for DIY, starting now and going on all day. They had lovely new shelves for Xmas that needs to be put on the walls, Xmas spirit and they don't care if it disturbs the neighbours because it will look so nice afterwards.

That's certainly what I would do if I was her neighbour. I'd drill holes for shelves even if I had to go and buy some, but like most selfish people, they probably would go ape mad because disturbing people is only a one way trip in their world.

I usually (successfully) stop the dog barking with excitement at 0730 when she gets her breakfast....not this morning!

Childish I know, but I'm so cross about their total selfishness (this is just a long line of things they do without any consideration for others....) and utterly exhausted. We have friends coming over later (who also have relatively young children) and I'm worried I will be snoring into my food and not enjoying what should be a lovely catch up. Today will be mostly sponsored by coffee!

I feel sorry for Malu’s university student kids as well as the neighbours. Imagine being that age and spending New Year singing fucking karaoke with your parents in the lounge

4:30 appears to be when the clubs closed here in Valencia. Was more noisy on the streets below that just after midnight. The windows and blinds don't block out enough noise it seems.
It is nearly 11am now and it's pretty much silent!

It's only one night so I couldn't get pissed off about this.
