Anyone else thinks New Year feels like Groundhog Day?

I’ve never been a fan of new year. Have always found it a bit of a let down.
Had lovely plans tonight of a buffet, some games with the kids and a bottle of wine but my heart isn’t in it.
I adore Christmas and revel in every second but new year makes me think about the prospect of another year with the same struggles and same everything all over again.
I never normally feel like this but new year seems to bring out the worst in me!

It’s because you like Christmas and it feels like the end. Tomorrow always seems unfestive and cold to me. Just go to bed (I’m going now), I think New Year is for people who need an excuse to kiss someone they like!

I hate New Year. It signals the end of fun and rest, and the return of work.

It can be a little depressing. Just try to stay positive and hope for a better next year. Have a little drink and watch the fireworks.

It symbolises January for me. Cold, wet boring January and ages till payday. Then after January comes February which is equally as wet and cold! Nothing to look forward to just school and work, school and work in the cold and wet.
Your totally right it's just Groundhog Day
