Interested to hear opinions on whether a grumpy email should be sent regarding the parcel delivery we’ve just had, or whether to forget about it in the spirit of New Year!
My sister has been waiting today for a parcel containing some face oil. We’re sat at the dining table right by the living room window playing a board game when my dog (who is in the garden) starts barking. My sister stands up from the table to see the Amazon delivery driver throw her parcel over the garden fence (approx 6.5 feet high), on to the concrete path and walk off. Would it be unreasonable to email amazon and ask them to have a word with him about being a bit more careful?
Now I appreciate that there was a dog in the garden and she was barking, but a) he didn’t hang around for longer than a couple of seconds to see if someone appeared from the house (surely if there’s a dog in the garden you’d assume there’s someone home?!), and b) we have a large letter/postbox mounted on the fence right next to the garden gate so that people don’t have to bother coming in for letters or small parcels. It’s a small Jiffy bag that would have easily gone in there, and the post box is bright red, so you can’t really miss it.
The face oil is fine, but if it was the brand new Fitbit she’s been waiting for then it might have been a different story...
