To ask what you're watching on TV tonight?

DH and I are celebrating NYE on the couch in our PJs this year. We have the food and drinks all planned but not the TV schedule.

AIBU to ask, if you're staying in and staying up tonight, what you'll be watching?

I guess it will either be Jools Holland or Madness just before the big moment. But what about leading up to it? Please tell me your plans so I can steal your ideas? Thank you!

Probably a film off Netflix - NYE TV is always shite.

The worst year was 1999 - 12 hours of the Radio Times listings saying '12 hours to go - NYE in Auckland...' '11 hours to go - NYE in somewhere an hour later than Auckland...' etc.

New series You on Netflix. It's addictive and so binge-worthy!

Tony2 · 31/12/2018 15:38

Endeavour. Shaun Evans and all the rest. So moving

Derekmorganwasinmybed · 31/12/2018 15:40

We’re watching you on Netflix

NEMSparkle · 31/12/2018 15:41

We are binge watching Luther on Netflix in preparation for the new series.

FairyLightFiend · 31/12/2018 15:43

We’re also binge watching Luther (Although I had some horrible dreams after a particularly grim episode last night, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to continue! Shock).

YoloTF · 31/12/2018 15:43

Definitely You on Netflix

NoWayNoHow · 31/12/2018 15:57

We're going to watch recorded Xmas TV before Jools (hate Madness) - have ABC Murders and some other bits and bobs. Either that or a movie.

DEFINITELY watch "You" on Netflix. Completely brilliant, binge watched it in two days.

Anniegetyourgun · 31/12/2018 16:02

Nuffing. I've got a beautiful TV set but no aerial (nor cable nor satellite). Gonna play on my PC until I'm tired and then take my phone up to bed and play on that for a bit. And then get woken up at midnight by the local bastards who always see the NY in with fireworks Angry

Derekmorganwasinmybed We’re watching you on Netflix sounds terribly sinister!

Cheesymonster · 31/12/2018 16:03

Also You on Netflix!!

shopgirl18 · 31/12/2018 16:05

@firstbrightday I was disappointed in it Sad switched off midway through 3rd episode!

2019HereWeCome · 31/12/2018 16:09

Do suggested a film/series where people have to be blindfolded or else they are faced with all their fears and then die? It sounds a bit depressing to me though so I'm not sure. I'd rather just listen to the radio and chat because we never really do that anymore.

CurbsideProphet · 31/12/2018 16:12

We'll prob put The Last Leg on for a bit, maybe watch one of the many films we've saved over Christmas. We're on a normal working day today, so I'm tired Grin

Giggorata · 31/12/2018 16:13

We generally have NYE in with Jools, nibbles and fizz but I am enjoying the choice of music less the last few years, so we might do something else.
I see the Ab Fab film is on earlier, so might watch that.

Whatsnewwithyou · 31/12/2018 16:27

Thank you, I'm glad i asked, I'd never even heard of you on Netflix but DH has now agreed to give it a try. He's also now said he wants to watch an episode of les mis on BBC. So I guess that's us just about sorted.

We're watching the big fat quiz of the year, didn't watch it on boxing day just so we could watch it tonight 🤓

DroningOn · 31/12/2018 18:12

Ozark on Netflix

MotherWilliam · 31/12/2018 18:15

Agatha Raisin on Pick (freeview channel11). Best thing ever. 4 episodes back to back from 8 until midnight. A rare treat!

Shoppingwithmother · 31/12/2018 18:17

Thanks Mother William, I had no idea - I am watching that then!

PumpkinKitty82 · 31/12/2018 18:31
