I know she meant well. My Mum's getting married soon and she just asked me "are you ok about your Mum getting married again, I overheard you telling X that you felt a bit wobbly about it"

nosy? or kind?

I just breezily said "oh yes, I'm fine thanks, he's a nice man" (which he is)

i felt a bit odd, I don't think I'd have said that

Hello me ol' mate. Perhaps she is just being kind but I do hate people that comment on things they have overheard. Someone I work with talks to me when I come off the phone about what I've been talking about and it annoys me (actually her just being there annoys me!).

Tell her to jog on and mind her own beeswax.

hello mucker! Long time no, er, read (or something)

its annoying isn't it!

I bought her a cake as well - might eat it myself

Our firewall will lock me out of the internet at 2 so if you don't see this before then, i won't be ignoring your reply!!

Nosy definitely but possibly kind as well!

Maybe she has had a similar experience and wanted you to know you could talk to her about it if you needed someone to understand?
